Protecting your personal information

Your trust is very important to us and we are strongly committed to keeping your personal data safe. We will take all necessary measures to ensure your personal information is properly protected and secured.  This includes having appropriate technical and organisational arrangements to secure your information.

We will never send an unsolicited message to you to ask you to provide your password, financial details or other sensitive information by email or through a link. You account

Users are required to provide their name and email address, and to set a unique password for their account. This is so we can create and administer their account. This information is stored privately in your Property Booking profile and won’t be displayed on the site itself.

Your email marketing preferences

If you opt-in to receiving marketing material we may contact you with information regarding properties and ancillary products via email. You will also be given the opportunity on every e-communication that we send you to indicate that you no longer wish to receive our direct marketing material.

Your eligibility information

Users may also be asked to provide the following information about themselves for their eligibility profile when expressing an interest for a property:

  • Local authority information based on postcode

  • Financial information

  • Current living circumstances

  • Current working circumstances

Property Booking will collect this personal information and it will be passed onto the relevant third-party housing association if you meet the eligibility criteria set for each property. Housing associations may contact you regarding your eligibility and expression of interest.

Web Privacy

You can browse our website without disclosing any information about yourself. We will only ever ask you to provide the information necessary for housing eligibilty or marketing purposes.

Other personal data we may collect from your interactions with our website include:

  • your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and details of which version of web browser you used

  • information on how you use the site, using cookies and page tagging techniques

When we ask you to provide information, we will tell you what this data will be used for and we will give you the option to choose if you would like us to send you information about what we do. We also use Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel to collect information about how you use Property Booking. We do this to help make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users and to help us make improvements, for example improving site search.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics stores information about:

  • the pages you visit on Property Booking

  • how long you spend on each Property Booking page

  • how you got to the site

  • what you click on while you’re visiting the site

You can opt out of Google Analytics.


Facebook Pixel

We use Facebook Pixel to capture anonymised data about those who use our site who also use Facebook. Facebook’s targeted advertising then delivers our relevant Facebook adverts based on the page viewed. The data is anonymised, so we cannot see who you are.
