Shared Ownership Beam Park

Shared Ownership Beam Park

Haven’t heard of Beam Park? You will have. This £1billion London regeneration zone is one of the capital’s most exciting redevelopment projects, transforming disused industrial land into a gargantuan lively enclave. Opening up a new corner for consideration, Beam Park will see 3,000 new homes springing up over the next decade – half of which will be branded affordable housing.

London regeneration zone

Word on the street is that before long, this bright and breezy development will have a thriving community spirit to rival that of any classic London neighbourhood. As homeowners start to move in, the community will also see the arrival of a new rail station in 2020, perched between Dagenham and Rainham. Trains will take just 20 minutes to whizz commuters into Fenchurch Street. Plans are also being bandied about for a new station square with a handful of local shops and cafes doing brisk trade – so you can grab your cappuccino and croissant before jumping on your morning train.

What will it look like? Top-notch, that’s what. There’s going to be acres of green space and river walkways, cycle paths and walking routes. For country kicks, the Beam Valley Country Park is in your backyard – a true wilderness where locals can idle away hours in the nature reserve, meadows, woodland and orchard. New infrastructure, from schools and medical centres, to gyms and nurseries are all in the pipeline, as well as shops, restaurants and cafes all at the vanguard of cool. And with rumours of a major new film studio surfacing just a mile down the road, the future’s looking very bright for this on-the-up corner of east London.

Smaller deposits

So you want a piece of the action? A massive plus is the fact many of its homes are earmarked for first-time buyers. Go for Shared Ownership in Beam Park and you’ll need to cough up just a 5% deposit. The new homes are varied and will satisfy a huge cross-section of high-flying people. But what everyone has in common is the desire to live in an exciting and innovative community. And although the development has only just been given the green light, there are already some real goodies on the market. Among them is The Cambridge – a contemporary four-bed home, spread over three floors: think polished fittings, serene bedrooms, and living areas where light pours in from the landscaped garden. When it comes to the little touches, they really have thought of everything: engineered flooring, pristine skirtings, USB charger sockets, Sky Q provision, and smoke alarms. If you’re looking for all of this but on a smaller scale, there’s Coburn House and its apartments, finished with private balconies for eye-catching views of Beam Park.
