Leicestershire is a landlocked county in the English Midlands which borders Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Leicester is the principal city which lies on the River Soar. Car manufacturing has long been an important part of Leicestershire's economy, alongside its long history of livestock farming. Cheese production, stilton and red Leicester, and pork pie manufacturing, all help to put this county at the heart of English cuisine!

Leicester has lots to see and do, including award winning venues such as Curve, Highcross Shopping Centre and the National Space Centre. Annually, across the city there is a calendar of events and festivals, with a host of attractions to visit, such as galleries and museums, as well as areas of natural beauty.

Leicester displays a diverse, cosmopolitan population who produce great cuisine, available to sample in the many various bars and restautants. A modern city, rich in arts, culture, sports and heritage, offering something of interest to all ages.

Leicester has great transport links and is easily accessible via the M1/M69 and A6/A46 motorwayd.
